A growing number of supply chain managers in a wide range of companies are seeking tools to support fact-based decision-making. Supply chain network optimization models can help managers unravel the complex interactions and ripple effects that make supply chain planning difficult and important.
In this course, Dr. Jeremy F. Shapiro reviews the form and application of these models and discusses how they can be extended to support integration of supply chain planning with marketing and corporate financial planning. Dr. Jeremy F. Shapiro is President of SLIM Technologies, LLC, a Boston based firm specializing in the implementation and application of modeling systems for supply chain management and other business problems.
Dr. Shapiro is also Professor Emeritus of Operations Research and Management in the Sloan School of Management at MIT. For nine years he served as Co-Director of MIT’s Operations Research Center. Dr. Shapiro received the B.M.E. and M.I.E. degrees from Cornell and a Ph.D. degree in Operations Research from Stanford. He is the author of Modeling the Supply Chain, published by Duxbury Press in 2001.Pris: 900,00kr
